Before starting classes...

Before you start Leung Ting Wing Tsun kung-fu, assess your commitment, your physical and mental condition and your ability to drop the ego. It is a condensed version of Shaolin kung-fu in many ways, but it is still Chinese kung-fu.

People with doctor-diagnosed knee problems, back problems, brain, heart, lung, or mental conditions might find the learning very challenging.

The first thing you must do is clear your mind for our training and put any previous training on the back shelf. All martial arts have value but the coordination you developed in previous martial arts will interfere with learning Wing Tsun well.

Come to our Mesa martial arts lessons at Upward Light, 128 W. Pepper Pl, Mesa, AZ 85201 for our authentic kung-fu classes, a martial art made famous by Bruce Lee and his teacher, Ip Man (Yip Man). Please arrive 10-15 minutes before class start time.
